Re-define the marginalized image
Reclaim their self-respect
Restore their self-worth
Lifeline Ministries serves as a beacon of hope for Ottawa County’s unsheltered and marginalized population. We envision a community where nobody is left behind and the dignity of all people is upheld, secured, respected, and celebrated.
Why West Michigan?
West Michigan Communities, like Holland, are portrayed as carefree, beach-front communities. Unlike downtown areas, most of Holland’s homeless population resides in rural, wooded areas. Since they are unseen, it is easy to assume there isn’t a problem.
West Michigan is known for being a tight-knit community. Many would say it is easy to feel known and loved here. Unfortunately, this isn’t true for everyone.
Our “picture perfect” town needs help more now than ever. We can’t continue to ignore shortcomings like gangs, drugs, and homelessness.
As a ministry, we challenge the lack of awareness and empathy surrounding our most pressing issues. Everyone deserves shelter, food, warmth, and to BE KNOWN.
